Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the GONE Fishing leaderboard and community features, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily access the GONE Fishing leaderboard for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

  • modify or copy the materials
  • use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
  • attempt to reverse engineer any software contained on the website
  • remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials

3. Account Linking and Third-Party Services

Our platform supports optional linking of third-party accounts to sign in, verify your identity, and enable additional features. Linking is voluntary unless a specific feature you choose requires it.

Supported providers

  • Steam: Used for leaderboard identity and catch submissions from the game
  • Discord: Optional linking via the /link command in the Official GONE Fishing Discord server for bot features and notifications
  • Twitch and Kick: Optional web profile linking to display connected streaming identities
  • Google and Apple: Optional sign-in and account linking on gonefishing.gg and in the GONE Fishing mobile app (iOS/Android) so you can access your profile, aquarium, and related web features with the same account across devices

Google and Apple linking

  • How it works: When you choose "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple" on the website or mobile app, we receive a provider-issued account identifier so we can recognize you on future visits. We may also receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google when you grant those permissions. Apple may share your name and email on first sign-in; Apple may also provide a private relay email address instead of your personal email.
  • Linking to an existing profile: You may link Google or Apple to a profile you already use through Steam, Discord, Twitch, or other supported providers so your progress stays on one account.
  • One provider per person: Each Google or Apple account may only be linked to one GONE Fishing profile at a time.
  • Unlinking: You may unlink Google or Apple from your profile settings on gonefishing.gg when that option is available, without deleting your overall GONE Fishing profile or unrelated linked accounts (such as Discord or Twitch).
  • Provider terms: By linking or signing in with Google or Apple, you also agree to comply with Google's or Apple's applicable terms of service and privacy policies.

General linking rules

  • Voluntary linking: Core leaderboard features remain available without linking Discord, Twitch, Kick, Google, or Apple
  • Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your linked accounts. Do not share sign-in tokens, linking codes, or account credentials with others
  • Third-party terms: Each linked service has its own terms and privacy policy, which also apply to your use of that service with GONE Fishing

4. Account Deletion and Data Requests

You may request changes to your account or data at any time by emailing info@gonefishing.gg. Please include enough information for us to verify ownership of the account (for example, your Steam ID, profile URL on gonefishing.gg, and the email address tied to any linked Google or Apple account).

We support the following request types:

  • Full account deletion: Remove your profile and associated personal account data, subject to retention needed for fraud prevention, leaderboard integrity, legal obligations, or completed enforcement actions
  • Partial deletion or unlinking: Remove a specific linked provider (Google, Apple, Discord, Twitch, or Kick) while keeping your overall profile and other linked services
  • Data access or correction: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you or correction of inaccurate account information

We aim to respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe. Some leaderboard or historical catch records may be anonymized rather than fully erased where needed to preserve competitive integrity.

5. User-Generated Content

By submitting fishing data, leaderboard entries, or other content to our platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the service. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the right to submit the content
  • The content does not violate any third-party rights
  • The content is accurate and not misleading
  • You will not submit fraudulent or cheated fishing data

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our service:

  • For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts
  • To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances
  • To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
  • To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate
  • To submit false or misleading information
  • To upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code
  • To spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape
  • For any obscene or immoral purpose
  • To interfere with or circumvent the security features of the service

7. Anti-Cheating Policy

We maintain a strict anti-cheating policy to ensure fair competition. The following activities are prohibited:

  • Submitting fake or artificially inflated fishing data
  • Using automated tools or scripts to generate submissions
  • Manipulating game files or using third-party modifications
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
  • Any other form of data manipulation or cheating

Violations may result in the removal of submissions, account restrictions, or permanent bans from the platform.

Our detailed competitive conduct standards, exploitation policy, appeals process, and enforcement discretion are defined in our Rules & Regulations. By using leaderboard and competition features, you agree to comply with those rules.

8. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the service, to understand our practices.

9. Disclaimer

The materials on GONE Fishing's website are provided on an 'as is' basis. GONE Fishing makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

10. Limitations

In no event shall GONE Fishing or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on GONE Fishing's website, even if GONE Fishing or a GONE Fishing authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

11. Accuracy of Materials

The materials appearing on GONE Fishing's website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. GONE Fishing does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current. GONE Fishing may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice. However, GONE Fishing does not make any commitment to update the materials.

12. Links

GONE Fishing has not reviewed all of the sites linked to our website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by GONE Fishing of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.

13. Modifications

GONE Fishing may revise these terms of service for its website at any time without notice. By using this website you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.

14. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which GONE Fishing operates and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that state or location.
