Rules & Regulations
Last updated: 5/9/2026
1. Purpose and Scope
These rules apply to all leaderboard-related activity on GONE Fishing, including catch submissions, gamble submissions, profile-related rankings, and any features that influence competitive standings. They are intended to preserve fair play and trust in all public rankings.
2. Blanket Anti-Cheat Rules
Any attempt to fabricate, alter, or improperly influence competitive data is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Client or memory manipulation (for example: Cheat Engine, Wand, trainers, editors, scripts, or similar tools)
- Packet tampering, request replay, POST/body manipulation, or API abuse to alter submitted values
- Modifying local files, game state, or runtime values to create impossible or invalid results
- Automating submissions or interactions intended to bypass normal gameplay conditions
- Knowingly submitting manipulated data, even if generated by someone else
If data cannot be reasonably produced through intended gameplay, it may be treated as invalid or cheating.
Data manipulation is fully detectable by our anti-cheat systems. When anti-cheat flags are triggered, staff review and enforcement action will be taken.
3. Exploitation Policy
Exploitation is the use of unintended game behavior, edge cases, or system quirks to gain a competitive advantage over other players. A tool or external cheat is not required for exploitation to be actionable.
- Repeatedly using known unintended mechanics for ranking gain may be treated as an exploit violation
- Using bugs to inflate catches, gamble outcomes, progression, or leaderboard position is prohibited
- “Unintentional at first” does not excuse continued use after awareness of the advantage
- Players are expected to report severe or ranking-impacting exploits when discovered
Staff review intent, repetition, impact, and competitive context when determining whether behavior constitutes exploitation.
4. Enforcement and Staff Discretion
GONE Fishing Staff reserves the right to remove entries, invalidate data, limit features, or shadow ban any user from leaderboard participation at any time for any reason if we suspect these rules and regulations have been violated. Enforcement may occur with or without prior warning while investigations are ongoing.
5. Appeals
Banned users may submit an appeal through the website Ticket system.
- There is no time limit for filing an appeal.
- Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that an account will be unbanned.
- Staff reserve the right to uphold previous enforcement decisions.
- Confirmed cheaters can be unbanned at staff discretion; honest and open disclosure about how and why cheating occurred may increase the chance of reinstatement.
- Unbanned accounts are monitored. If a second ban occurs, the account may be re-banned permanently without further appeal.
